Does IPL actually work?
Yes — when used consistently. IPL targets the melanin in your hair follicle to slow and eventually stop regrowth. Most customers see noticeable reduction in 3-4 sessions, with permanent results after 8-12 weeks of weekly use.
Is it safe for my skin tone?
IPL works best on light-to-medium skin with dark hair. It's not effective (and not safe) on very deeply pigmented skin. Check our compatibility chart above — we'd rather you skip the purchase than have a bad experience.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe it as a warm rubber-band snap on lower settings, building to mild heat on the highest level. The Ice-Cool Pro adds active cooling that takes the edge off completely. Always start at level 1 and work up.
Where can I use it?
Legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, chest, back, stomach. Avoid the eye area and don't use on the face above the cheekbones. The face attachment is safe for upper lip, chin, and jawline.
How often do I use it?
Once a week for the first 8-12 weeks. After that, monthly touch-ups as needed. Skipping weeks slows down your results, so consistency matters more than intensity.
Can I use it if I'm pregnant?
We don't recommend IPL during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There's no evidence it's harmful, but there isn't enough research to confirm it's safe — so play it safe and wait.
